Diese Villa mit Schwimmbad zu vermieten ist umgeben von Weinbergen und Olivenhainen; man erreicht die Villa, die sich im Inneren des Weilers befindet, durch einen Torbogen auf dem sich ein alter Turm aus dem Jahr 1000 befindet. Kleinbusse und sehr grosse Autos sind für die Zufahrt nicht empfehlenswert!
„Villa Vertine“ befindet sich mitten im Chianti Classico Gebiet, nur 2,5 km von dem schönen und typischen Ort Gaiole in Chianti entfernt, dem perfekten Ausgangspunkt um die Schönheiten der Toskana und dessen weltberühmte Städte zu erkunden wie Florenz, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Arezzo, Lucca usw.
Das schöne Schwimmbad ist komplett eingezäunt und umgeben von einem sehr gepflegten englischen Rasen .

Entfernungen: Die Villa befindet sich nur 2 Minuten zu Fuss von dem Ortskern des kleinen Ortes Vertine entfernt, in dem man jeden Service finden kann, Gaiole in Chianti 2,5 km, Castellina in Chianti 19 km, Siena 33 km, San Gimignano 54 km, Arezzo 60 km, Florenz 70 km, Rom 246 km.

Erdgeschoss:Eingang auf einen grossen Saal, Essbereich eingerichtet mit Sofas grossem Tisch für über 10 Personen, Satelliten-TV LCD und sehr gut ausgestattete offene Küche mit 6 Kochstellen, 2 elektrischen Backöfen, Mikrowelle, Spülmaschine, Espressomaschine, Toaster, amerikanische Kaffemaschine, Wasserkocher, Zitruspresse, Kühlschrank und Gefrierschrank, zweiter Essbereich hinter der Küche mit grossem Tisch auf der Veranda.
3 Stufen höher: Waschbereich mit Waschmaschine, Bad mit Dusche.
1. Stock(man erreicht den 1. Stock über 17 Stufen): Grosses Wohnzimmer mit Panorama- Blick über den Chanti Classico, mit Kamin, Sofas, Sesseln Tischen Stereoanlage (hi-fi), Doppelzimmer mit Ehebett (auf Anfrage auseinanderziehbar) mit privatem Bad mit Badewanne,Doppelzimmer mit Ehebett und privatem Bad mit Dusche, Doppelzimmer mit Ehebett mit privatem Bad mit Badewanne, Doppelzimmer mit Ehebett und privatem Bad mit Dusche, Doppelzimmer mit Ehebett und privatem Bad mit Dusche und direktem Zugan zu einer kleinen Terrasse von der aus man über ein paar Treppenstufen das Schwimmbad erreichen kann.
Alle Zimmer sind mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet.

A fabulous villa – with an aftertaste.
Beautiful setting. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Extensive kitchen equipment.
Very good and relaxing for groups of family and friends, but …
Access is difficult
Remote setting, difficult to reach. - You are warned in the description that the access is not suitable for a minivan or minibus. We were travelling in a BMW X5 and only just fitted through the very narrow streets of Vertine by clapping in the wing mirrors.
The pool
The remote setting seems to make it difficult for a pool service too! So the pool is not being looked after properly. During our stay we informed the caretaker, but nothing much changed, except our swimwear turned yellow and our eyes stung. So we could not use the pool as often as we would have liked. We told the owner that in all the other houses we stayed in over the last ten years the quality and cleanliness of the water was checked daily. Hopefully water quality will improve for future guests.
Big brother
We felt that we were being watched. Cleaners come to the house on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which is very helpful. But the caretaker comes by daily to ask “tutto bene?” just to check for the owner that everything is in order. We felt this was intrusive and our patience grew thin when friends of ours visited for a drink and were questioned whether they were also staying at the villa.
Deposit
Make sure you check the house for pre-existing damage. Damages will be fully deducted from your deposit. This may prove expensive. In our case: A stain on the kitchen table – we could not know because the table was covered with a cloth when we arrived.
High quality comes at a price … but if this price includes a badly maintained pool and a big brother feeling, then our conclusion is : tutto not bene!

Better than the pictures! The villa was spotless with a well stocked kitchen and beautiful modern bathrooms. The views were exceptional, the outdoor spaces and pool area were comfortable and well landscaped and we were fortunate to be there when everything was in full bloom. Our hostess Caterina could not have been more accommodating and made us a delicious dinner one evening. Truly a week to remember. One minor downside was no clothes dryer.

The villa was lovely and each of the 5 bedrooms and baths were charming and supplied with luxury linens and toiletries. The kitchen was well equipped and the gathering areas, terrace and pool most attractive and well maintained. Caterina, the house manager, came by every day and took us grocery shopping twice since the COOPs( grocery stores) were hidden away frequently without parking nearby. Mid week she and her crew changed out all the linens and made sure we had what we needed. On arrival she had orange juice and Prosecco at hand to welcome us. She was a font of all information including helping us find CNN on the TV. We spent our days traveling easily to Siena, Florence, Radda, Greve, and San Giminango. The grounds of the villa were fragrant with lavender and rosemary and there were pots of thyme and basil for our culinary needs. The tiny town of Vertine was quaintly charming and the nearby town of Gaiole had good shopping for wine, cheese and meat. While there were only 5 of us the house would have been just as suitable for 5 couples. The five ladies from America had a wonderful week.
